The guided trail rides are a wonderful way to explore the National Park and the groups are kept small with a limit of 9 riders per group. Note that the rides depart continually throughout the day and are approximately one hour in length, There are no reservations necessary (or available), so simply show up when you’re ready to ride!

Autumn is one of the best seasons for wildlife viewing in Cades Cove, so keep your eyes peeled throughout your visit! Fall is the best time to see white-tailed deer because it's their breeding season, so you can often see them grazing in the fields or in the forest. Whether you are hoping to see deer or black bears, the best times to spot them are early in the morning or very late in the afternoon. Some of the other animals that are typically spotted in the fall include wild turkeys and groundhogs, who are often seen in the open meadowlands!
