Entering Cades Cove in the fallTrying to plan a trip to Cades Cove and want to know when you should visit? Cades Cove is open year round from sunrise to sunset, weather permitting. The Cades Cove Loop Road is closed on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from May through September until 10 a.m. This is so bicyclists and pedestrians can enjoy a few hours at the Cove without vehicles. Cades Cove Visitors Center Hours

January: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
February: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
March: 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
April – August: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
September – October: 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
November: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
December: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The visitors center is open daily, with the exception of Christmas Day.

Cades Cove Picnic Area Hours

The Cades Cove Picnic Area is open year round. There are more than 80 spots for picnicking. It is open until sunset, except for May through August when it is open until 8 p.m.

Cades Cove Riding Stables Hours

Horses grazing in a meadow in Cades Cove.The Cades Cove Riding Stables offer guided horseback rides and guided carriage rides March 3 through November 30 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also go for a guided hayride through the Cades Cove Loop Road. Hayrides are available March 3 through May 31 at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m., June 1 through August 15 at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., and 6 p.m., and August 16 through season closing at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Cades Cove Pricing

Cades Cove is completely free to enjoy! There is no admission fee to enter. You can come during any time of the day and not spend a dime. However, please note some of the activities, like camping and horseback riding, do have fees.
